Discovered a couple of new bands recently and i want to share the lovely noise. First up is Machree, influence's appear to be very Thrice like. Album 'White out' was released 2009 its a pain to get a hold of online, but a few tracks from this album are on youtube. They are to release an ep this year 'Changer' give them a listern, i think there worth it!
Second up is Far, this band have been around awhile and have a few albums on the go, myself however have only just discovered this band, and i can say from the first few seconds of listerning the there latest album 'Tin cans with strings to you' i am amazed. Heavily influenced by Deftone's (one of my favourite bands) so it comes as no surprise they teamed up with front man Chino Moreno from Deftone's to form my third band discovery, Crosses.
Crosses have only released a teaser so far for this up and coming project, but my it's a brilliant teaser, i want to hear the rest right now!

Zeloot
So i'm writing my dissertation this year on 'The realtion between music and art'
Ive been spending my evening's doing research research research, and ive found a pretty good site which holds alot of design's created for the band 'The Decemberists'. The compositions are so randomly put together, bright and intriguing, making you want to look closer to find out what these clustered design's are all about. Although the message, the poster's are trying to put across isn't all to clear, once you have figured out its a band advertisment you can get the sense of what type of music they may create, joyful upbeat? I think this is how designs should be for music, turning music language into visual art.

After meeting and seeing the maccabees for the first time a few years back at KOKO
London, i've been in love with this band ever since. I can listern to them over and over and today whilst listerning to them a thought occured, when will they release something new?

Susie Wright's designs for music cover's, ive been working on a few band design's latly myself and i feel the detail in these with the small amount of colour could really work on a cd cover. I think i may try some landsacpes next

Edward Lears book of nonsense
Edward Lear (12 May 1812 – 29 January 1888) was an English artist, illustrator, author, and poet, renowned today primarily for his literary nonsense, in poetry and prose, and especially his limericks, a form that he popularised.
Gabriella Barouch has illustrated a book written by the author Edward Lear, it's beautiful drawn with delicate intricate detail, suiting the 'nonsense stories' perfectly. I cant stop looking at this book, i only hope one day i can produce something just as brilliant!

BBC
Bombay bicycle club are my absolute favourite band this past year. I have re discovered there brilliance thanks to a very special person who came in my life this last year. They have given me some great memories for this person, from falling asleep listerning to them, car driving music doing reverse turns up motorways, to dancing in a bar. Everytime i hear jack's voice it immediatly reminds me of those times and how happy those times were. Every song gives me butterflies in my stomach and i hope they never dissapear. There new song kind of sum's up this relationship with the band and the person dear in my heart and i cant stop listerning!

John Cooper Clarke
The best punk poet of the punk era John Cooper Clarke. I particulary like Clarkes poems as the narrative to his poems are very genuine and harsh, in my opinion would make great structure for illustration.
The psycho in his rubber gloves
Came round with the boys
He said “if music be the food of love
What's this fucking noise”
A mauler clamped around my wrist
With knuckles white as lard
He hit the hi-fi with his fist
It fell apart in shards
They were drinking all my vodka down
Like low life vicious drunks
I wanna be a man about town
But not in little chunks
I ought to be more manly
And stand up for myself
But blood runs in my family
And I wouldn't have it anywhere else
Liquid cosh a chemical pain
Here comes the ground
It's thanks to the finest medical brains
I'm even around
The video went for a burton
The guys just fell about
When I said “please don't slam the curtains
And take the front door out”
What happened next is kind-of blurred
Confusion took control
All I heard was a dirty word
My eyes began to roll
The light went out one step beyond
There's nothing left to see
My name comes up I can't respond
Not even for a fee
There was no homicide
This much was ascertained
- oh no! I never died
But what of life remained

I'm abit late is discovering Chairlift as there 'Does you inspire you' was realeased in 2008, never the less i have discovered it finaly and it is on my media player on repeat. Her voice is incredable well worth a listern
Eugene Andolsek
Eugene Andolsek created 50years of colourful artwork, which never saw the public eye.
recently descovered, his work resembles kaleidoscopes created on graph paper with a compass and ink. I particularly like these prints as there intricate and detailed which i think makes a pattern.
recording
First very rough recording from my singing lesson a couple of weeks ago. I havn't had one in well over a year so its a little rusty

TOBIN JAMES MUELLER wake up, love
wake up, love
undress yourself from my skin
put on the sun and let our dreaming rest
come watch the world rise
wake up, love
and be unbalance on the edge with me
of our sagging, remembering bed
come slip on your shoes
wake up, love
and help me sort this tangle of belongings
our thoughts half in day, half still in night
come kiss me full of sustenance
wake up, love
and meet me at the opened door
before the scent of you leaves my hands and hair
come walk with me into this life
wake up, love
undress yourself from my skin
put on the sun and let our dreaming rest
come watch the world rise
wake up, love
and be unbalance on the edge with me
of our sagging, remembering bed
come slip on your shoes
wake up, love
and help me sort this tangle of belongings
our thoughts half in day, half still in night
come kiss me full of sustenance
wake up, love
and meet me at the opened door
before the scent of you leaves my hands and hair
come walk with me into this life
